The winner of the second BOC e-cash raffle draw, Mr Weerakoon received the prize from Mr. David Poynter, Relationship Manager, Bank of Ceylon (UK) Ltd. Mr. Weerakoon said that he was surprised to win the Raffle and it was a reward to a longstanding loyal customer of the bank.

The winner of the inaugural BOC e-cash raffle draw, Mr Saranga Bandara flew to Sri Lanka using the return air ticket he won from draw held for the month of August 2011. While receiving the ticket Mr. Bandara said that he just wanted to send money to Sri Lanka through a trusted and secured mode and winning a return air ticket was completely a surprise. He never thought he would receive such a reward for sending money through the bank. He further said that remitting monies should always be by legal means and the raffle draw is a good incentive for Sri Lankans living in UK.

Mr J D Weerakoon became the lucky winner of the September month raffle draw introduced  for e-cash customers. The prize is a return air ticket to Sri Lanka.

All personal remittances made through Bank of Ceylon (UK) Ltd during the month of September were considered for the draw. The specially designed Raffle Draw Programme randomly selected the winner. The winner receives a return air ticket to Sri Lanka. The draw will be continued to be held monthly until July 2012. Each and every personal remittance to Sri Lanka made during the month qualifies for the draw.

The draw to be held monthly until August 2012 and each and every personal remittance to Sri Lanka during the preceding month qualifies for the draw.

The first e-Cash lottery draw was held on 19th September 2011 at the Bank premises at No 1, Devonshire Square, London and the raffle was drawn by Dr Gamini Wickremasinghe, the Chairman of Bank of Ceylon.
